About Us
We are an Ohio based company catering to the budget minded hobbyist. The products we offer reflect what we feel is the best available in the industry, while maintaining a reasonable consumer price point. Our focus is primarily on acrylic goods designed for the aquarium hobby. While we might not have the largest selection to choose from, you can rest assured that every item we list is built to strict, quality standards are built in the USA and are never imported from overseas.
Shipping
Items listed as ‘in stock’ will ship within one or two business days UPS ground. Small parts orders will ship either UPS ground or USPS priority mail. Free shipping on orders over two hundred dollars is only available to the contiguous United States. Orders sent to Hawaii, Alaska, Puerto Rico, Guam or other US Territories will not qualify for free shipping; standard shipping rates would apply. Any order over one hundred dollars will be sent requiring a signature confirmation and all orders are insured for the amount of purchase price. Pricing
Although we make every effort to assure that our prices are advertised as accurately as possible, we are only human. In the event an error is made we reserve the right to correct it.
Returns
In the event an item needs returned please contact sales@poorboyaquatics.com for a return authorization number. Only new, unused items can be returned. Once we receive the item(s) your credit card will be refunded the purchase price, minus shipping and a 20% restocking fee.
Shipping Damage
In the event of shipping damage make sure to save all of the packing material and damaged hardware. Once you have determined the products shipped to you were received damaged, notify both poorBoy Aquatics and the carrier (UPS, FedEx, or US Postal, etc.) within 2 days. Depending on the product and where/how it was shipped, it may be necessary for you to deal with the carrier. Most trucking companies will only deal with the receiver in cases of damaged goods. Once you have informed us (and the carrier) with this information we will send you complete information on how we will be taking care of the damaged goods.
Privacy
Your privacy is important to us. We do not share or publish any of your personal contact information such as your name, address, phone number or email. Poor Boy Aquatics does not store credit card information and is an SSL secure site.
